Enough

-------Enough-------

There is an absence in this world
that will not be filled
by worldly things.

A silence
waiting
to be sung.

May the hoarders learn
from the seed keepers
to never take too much

And to hold our children's
grandchildren
forever in act and thought.

Do not be afraid
of being
without

For there is sustenance
in sunshine,
sweet freedom in the trees

And there is
enough
for everyone.

Sunlight

-------Sunlight-------

Do not deny
yourself
the sunlight
that is joy,

The chance to unfold your leaves
and breathe
life
into this world.

That which moves through us
without effort
is a gift
from the creator,

To re-member
and share
its fruit
abundantly.

Reciprocity

-------Reciprocity-------

When the good Earth
shares with us
abundance

May we
receive this as reminder

To take
no more
than what we need,

To plant
new seeds

And forever
hold
the friend who feeds us

In the fullness
of our attention.

Not Too Much

-------Not Too Much-------

The grief we carry
is not too much
for this canyon
or the sea.

For they are made
of tears
from a thousand
generations

And are deeper
than we
could ever
know.

With the Sun

-------With the Sun-------

Fog rests
into the valleys

As the Earth exhales

And the mountains
watch over

Silently

Awaiting our return
with the Sun.

Return In

-------Return In-------

A seed stirs
in the belly
of the Earth

And with
the seasons turning

Shares its abundance
into
this world

A beautiful
flower

Soon
to return in
to a dream.

Silhouettes

-------Silhouettes-------

My absence
is not departure
but a trusting in
to the space we share.

Beyond these silhouetted hills
there are mountains
and a river
that runs between them,

Unseen
within the darkness
But heard
on the wind.

What we give transcends our time.
So I plant a seed
and trust
what I do not know.
