of sunshine gathered

in the earth.

North wind 

cleans 

the trees

Of their dead wood 

and branches

Making 

room 

for light.

A crescent moon 

and stars

The silence 

of winter sleeping.

Like seeds 

behold a memory

Darkness 

holds 

a seed.

It is time for rest, 

for dreams 

to gather

for the spring.

and scotch broom

have grown

since old growth

And that nature
