Duality constructed power,

and power

the prison 

of whiteness.

Before these walls 

were built,

the wind moved freely 

between our branches,

And we sang, 

and blossomed 

and died together

into earth.

But a promise 

was made

and division 

then instilled,

Lives

measured

and forests 

cut down by silence.

May those who have 

been gifted 

realize too 

what has been lost.

For without light 

a seed 

will never 

grow.

Know truth 

to be this light.

And the seed to be 

everyone's 

liberation.

the State reacts

Mirrors 

the depth and broadness

of a movements roots.

Liberation threatens

the conquest

of violence,

And Love

the impotence

of greed.

Atop the ground

an army pours out 

in lines,

Empty-eyed and uniformed,

like fodder

for the class elite.

And through the cracks

the Earth 

has made,

Unheard 

by those 

who refuse to blossom,

Rises 

the song

of revolution.

Listen

to that 

which stirs inside,

Encouraging each 

and every shell 

to open.

A step outside of thought

and I return in

to the unknown.

To the cold,
dark waters

of early Spring,

Where attention

gives us
each to receive.

Before discernment there was wonder.

Within the silence

there is song.

All around
the frogs
are chirping,

A soft red
touches
the branches,

And with eyes
as wide as sunshine,
I return to nothing.
