of grapevine 

and rose

An orchard 

is hidden

and with presence

unfolds.

Through work 

I re-member

the trees and their name

As the machete 

honors,

like love cuts through 

shame.

May we do 

the undoing

of resistance and fear

And make room for the sunshine

to hold every

one

near.
