Something 

like 

snowfall

On the garden 

of my mind

Lets to rest 

at last 

the chatter

Of chores 

I've left behind.

Like an Oak tree 

who holds 

her leaves 

through winter

Through the cold 

and darkest 

days

Finally 

letting go 

just in time 

for spring

I trust

the stories 

we keep

The songs 

that we have sung

our prayers

our joy

To lead us through

the struggles 

sure to come.

Sunset 

behind snow clouds

Makes it feel 

like morning

Blushing,

like springtime 

When the world 

exhales

A mist 

upon the water.

But here

for now

Let us make 

believe

And cherish 

this light 

Of winter.

Starlight 

on a city's night

Reminds me that 

no matter

How lost we feel

we never are

So many roads

to follow.

Follow the thorn 

back to its root

And make the cut 

where needed.

Do not mind the branches,

The promise 

that politicians make.

For time has shown 

that words alone

mean nothing without action.

Anarchy 

is a trust in us

That we as one, together

Have everything 

we need to bring

Our dreams 

into existence.
