-------Tumbling-------
Like
the Earth
who
has moved
through
the longest of nights
And
the world
in
this
dark
hour
I
tumble,
Unknowing
but
not alone,
toward
some unbuyable longing
To
dance
among
the
stars.

And

-------
-------As If-------
There is smoke in the air,
an angst throughout the body
where the forest is being cut.
They speak of progress
as if the soya beans and timber
could
somehow
take the place of home.
As if
the intricately
intertwined
together
body
Beautiful
one,
Earth
and Human,
was disposable.
It is in the lonely,
unreckoned-with
corners of the mind
that greed has room to grow
As if
to fill a void
of its own desperate making.
-------
-------Worlds
Beyond-------
We
are born
from
dreams
Of
the make believe
A
stone shaping
the
carver's hands.
Come
now
To
where the child
inside
you plays
Imagining
worlds beyond worlds
Like
a seed stirring
through
Winter
Like
a flower emerging in the Spring.
-------
-------One Upon the River-------
Fog meets
with woodsmoke
Like breath
upon
the river
Meandering
as they re-member
The Earth
and we
as one.
-------
-------Not Forgotten-------
A full moon
silhouettes
the mountains
And daylight
remembers
their green.
It is easy to feel forgotten
by a world
who cares not to see
That in every seed
there is
a forest
And in all
of us
the Sea.
-------
-------Like the Flower-------
There
was a point
when
those
who
plunder
Picked
a path
that
strayed
from
wonder
Took
did
they
of
wealth and power
Alone
today
having
sold the flower
For
without
flowers
there
are no seeds
No
hope
or
stories
just
endless need.
So
if and when
the
men
of
plunder
Attempt
to
stray you
away
from wonder
Know
there is
no
wealth
or
power
Like
the seed
and
like
the
flower.
-------
-------Made for Change-------
There
is too much at stake
to
cling to ways
that
are not working
Or
avoid to reckon
with
what burdens
the
soul.
We
were made for change.
We
were made
to
be brave,
To
let go
into
the dark
of
Winter
And
with the Spring
to
rise
again.
-------
-------Rooted-------
Like
the trees
turning
in
this season of change
The
people's true colors
are
coming
to
the surface.
May
those of integrity
rooted
in
love and justice
Continue
to shine,
brilliantly
golden.
-------
-------Not Run Away-------
It
can be easy to forget
within
discomfort
That
joy in life
is
joined
to
movement
Not
the type with which
to
run away
But
like the seasons
ever-
changing.
-------
-------Turn Toward-------
On
the edge of Autumn
nighttime
turns
toward
the quiet
But
if we listen
and
give ourselves too
to
this joyful revolution
A
new song
will
emerge.
-------
-------Make Believe-------
For too long
have many traded
our gift to wonder and imagination
For a fear-mindedness
clung
to things not changing.
There is a sickness
in the heart
of America.
An unreckoned with storm
pushing
against the edges of this body.
It is time
To let the winds
take
what is not working,
To let
our minds
untangle
And make believe
another
world
Without
walls
or prison.
-------
-------Follow-------
Eyes closed
and walking
with the Ocean to my left
Held in trust
by that old
love song
Of wavebrush and wind,
of mountains
and bodies
Returning
into
sand
I give over
to that
which I cannot see
But feel
is the way toward
home.
-------
-------Rather Move-------
Let
us not
be
stuck in fear
of
what we do not know
But
rather
move
Drawn
by
our inner
music
Like
the tree's
changing
color
with
Autumn.
-------
-------English in Amerika-------
White
nationalism
is
not
to
be taken lightly
But
there is something laughable
in
the hypocrisy
of
a settler shouting,
"go
back to where you come from"
In
the tongue
of
another
country.
