Rivers 

to the Sea

 

Rain 

that falls 

on Palestine

 

Finds its way 

to us.

New moon,

winter solstice

 

Hold me to my word

 

This moments gifting

is a great becoming

 

If heeded with intent.

Peace work

is love work

is tough love

 

Is abolition

 

To fall 

the walls

around us all

 

And free the light within.

Fullness

-------Fullness------- 

Leafless trees

are not 

empty

 

Humble

maybe

but not without

 

For sunshine 

sugars

from summer gathered

 

Still fill

from root

to tip.

Within

On the autumn side

of the winter solstice

 

As days approach

their shortest

 

I give thanks for the light

I find within

 

The quiet

and simple things.
