When the good Earth

shares with us

abundance

May we 

receive this as reminder

To take 

no more

than what we need,

To plant

new seeds

And forever

hold

the friend who feeds us

In the fullness

of our attention.

is not too much

for this canyon

or the sea.

For they are made

of tears

from a thousand

generations

And are deeper

than we

could ever

know.

Fog rests 

into the valleys

As the Earth exhales

And the mountains 

watch over

Silently

Awaiting our return

with the Sun.

A seed stirs

in the belly

of the Earth

And with 

the seasons turning

Shares its abundance

into 

this world

A beautiful 

flower

Soon 

to return in

to a dream.

Beyond these silhouetted hills

there are mountains

and a river 

that runs between them,

Unseen

within the darkness

But heard

on the wind.

What we give transcends our time.

So I plant a seed

and trust

what I do not know.
